Faculty members are critical partners for the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (URAF), we rely on them to:
- provide mentorship that encourages the intellectual curiosity that nurtures competitive applicants
- support our candidates by writing strong letters of recommendation
- lend their expertise in helping applicants compose compelling applications
- generously serve on internal selection committees that determine which candidates Tulane will endorse for nationally competitive scholarships
URAF advisors are available to discuss with faculty the requirements of specific awards, advise faculty-recommended promising students on the wide range of opportunities available to them, and offer guidance to faculty on composing letters of recommendation. URAF advisors are happy to facilitate an information session in your classroom or with your student groups.
